Deborah Ann Bizzell

Deborah Ann Bizzell, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. 

Deborah was born on May 23, 1963, in Oberlin, OH to the late John E. Rand and Janice L. Rand. 

Deborah served in the United States Air Force from September 6, 1983, until September 29, 1992, where she met her beloved husband, David Bizzell, while stationed at Homestead Air Force base in 1985. After honorably serving 9 years in the Air Force, Deborah and her husband settled in Alamogordo where she later had her daughter Megan and then her son Zachary, whom she adored. She then began her career as a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service in 2004 and held that position until her passing. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and everything Disney. Anyone who knew Debbie knew her happy place was perusing Disneyland with her family, exploring all the new food and activities, all while bestowing gifts being the forefront in her daily activities. She loved her favorite dogs, Goldie, Gypsy and Beauregard. Debbie was truly a pillar of her communities. Whether she was delivering mail to her route customers, calling everybody on the family tree, or coordinating for a family vacation. 

Deborah is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, David (64); her two children, Megan (24) and Zachary (22); stepson, David James (41). She is also survived by her stepmother, Doris Rand; brothers, John and his wife Belinda, Christopher Rand; sisters, Jennifer and her husband Dr. Michael Soda, Laura St. Clair; as well as many step brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The Memorial Service for Deborah Bizzell will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Alamogordo Funeral Home.
